Perhaps he’s upset that one of his busty, pigtailed AI companions wasn’t considered for this role.
On Saturday, Elon Musk expressed his discontent with a rumor that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o will be playing Helen of Troy in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of Homer’s epic poem, “The Odyssey.”
“Chris Nolan has lost his integrity,” Musk wrote.
What makes the SpaceX founder’s remark even more eyebrow-raising is that he wrote it in the comment section of a X post by a user who — let’s just say — might have been a fan of Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle ad.
“Helen of troy was fair skinned, blonde, and ‘the face that launched a thousand ships’ because she was so beautiful that men started a war over her,” the post that Musk responded to read.
Lupita Nyong’o winning an Oscar in 2014 for her role in “12 Years a Salve” and Elon Musk.
The X user goes on to complain that Nyong’o in the role would be an “insult to the author” … who died thousands of years ago.
HuffPost has reached out to Nolan and Nyong’o for comment.
Although the “Black Panther” star is listed on IMDb as an actor in Nolan’s project, her specific role is not listed, which has led to speculation and backlash from a certain ilk of X user.
And speaking of integrity, Musk didn’t show much of it himself when he led the so-called Department of Government Efficiency last year. The tech billionaire with zero government experience promised he’d embark on a federal spending overhaul that would cut waste.
Yet, according to a report by Democrats published in July, Musk’s reckless decisions as the head of DOGE led to the Trump administration paying hundreds of thousands to federal employees to stop working, which cost Americans $21.7 billion.
