A former BBC Radio host has been charged with more than 30 offences of sexual assault against children and adults that took place over his career.
Brian Shuttlewood, 79, has been accused of several counts of indecent assault, rape, gross indecency, and offences involving cruelty towards children spanning 18 years.
Some of the alleged instances occurred over a six year period before he was hired to DJ on BBC Radio Leicester.
They are said to have taken place between 1972 and 1990, while he was employed by the major broadcaster between 1978 and 1995.
Shuttlewood has also been accused of possession of extreme pornographic images.
The charges are against four specific people and Shuttlewood has pled not guilty to all the allegations he is facing.
The disgraced former radio host was due to begin trial on January 6, but it has now been postposed to February 17 due to concerns surrounding his health.

He is currently on conditional bail as Leicester Crown Court awaits clarity on whether he is fit to stand trial.
During his 17 years with the BBC, he worked across their East Midlands output for Radio Leicester as well as Radio Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln.
He was known to listeners as ‘The Big Bopper’ with his shows focusing on 1950s and 60s rock.
He presented shows such as his flagship programme, The Rocker Returns, and The Brian Shuttlewood Music Programme.
