Nelson Peltz has broken his silence amid the ongoing drama between his daughter Nicola and the Beckham family.
Appearing on stage during the WSJ Invest Live event on Tuesday, Feb 3, the billionaire businessman and investor, 83, commented on the feud after his son-in-law Brooklyn Peltz Beckham posted bombshell claims — including many about his April 2022 wedding to Nicola — confirming his rift with parents David and Victoria Beckham.
Wall Street Journal reporter Lauren Thomas broached the subject by connecting Peltz’s experience with “negotiating high-stakes situations, particularly playing out in public view” to the public attention recently garnered by Nicola.
He responded playfully with, “Has my family been in the press lately? I haven’t noticed that at all.”

Thomas then asked if Peltz has offered his family any advice to his family on navigating “such situations,” to which he replied, “I do. My advice is to stay the hell out of the press. How much good did that do?”
He continued, “My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story. That’s not for coverage here today, but I’ll tell you my daughter’s great, my son-law Brooklyn is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.”
Peltz, who shares eight children including Nicola with wife Claudia Heffner Peltz, has not spoken on the family drama since Brooklyn took to his Instagram Stories with multiple shocking claims about his parents attempting to sabotage his marriage.
Brooklyn, 26, wrote on Jan. 19, “I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Amid the family’s ongoing rift, a source with knowledge of the situation tells PEOPLE, “David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward.”
“David loves his kids,” says the insider of Brooklyn, 26, and younger sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14. “They are his everything.”
“The relationship is definitely not beyond repair,” an insider told PEOPLE last May. “They love and are always there for [Brooklyn]. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
However, Brooklyn’s social media statement claimed otherwise, noting that he and Nicola traveled to London for David’s 50th birthday last year but were “rejected” by Victoria and David.

News of Brooklyn and Nicola’s rift with the Beckhams has been brewing for months and in that time, Brooklyn has been photographed with the Peltzes on multiple occasions.
On Dec. 26, 2025, Nicola posed with her parents and husband in a series of holiday photos shared to Instagram. Brooklyn was also on hand to celebrate Peltz’s 83rd birthday this past June after skipping dad David’s lavish 50th birthday celebrations in London the month before.
Peltz even showed his support for Nicola and Brooklyn’s relationship back in August as the officiant of their vow renewal ceremony, for which the Lola actress repurposed her mom’s wedding dress.
