An Oprah Winfrey sit-down could be on the cards for Brooklyn Beckham after Meghan Markle offered herself as a mentor following his family bombshell.
The 26-year-old has been receiving support from the Duchess of Sussex since posting a six-page tirade against Victoria and David on Instagram Stories – with Meghan identifying echoes of her own royal struggles in his situation.
Watching Brooklyn face public criticism triggered something in Meghan, who sees his experience mirroring the treatment she and Harry received, insiders say. The same Oprah platform that gave the Sussexes their voice could work for Brooklyn too, she believes.
Sources revealed: “Meghan really sees herself in Brooklyn and, since getting to know him over the past few months, she feels he’s been misunderstood in the same way she and Harry were. Witnessing all the backlash he received following his statement last week really struck a nerve and triggered Meghan. She’s been there and knows how hurtful it is to be vilified for speaking your mind.”
Brooklyn’s wellbeing comes first, according to Meghan’s advice, though she’s planted the seed about properly telling his story: “She immediately reached out to offer her and Harry’s support and advised Brooklyn to ensure he puts his mental health first.
She also gently pushed the idea of him telling his side of the story properly, not on social media but through a proper sit-down interview with Oprah, where he could open up in the right setting, feeling safe, heard and protected. She thinks he needs to set the narrative, rather than his parents.”

Scathing allegations rock Beckham empire
For months, gossip about a Beckham family feud circulated before Brooklyn confirmed everything through his brutal statement, which also highlighted friction with wife Nicola Peltz.
Victoria came under fire for allegedly “hijacking” the newlyweds’ first dance at their 2022 celebration and dancing “inappropriately” with Brooklyn. The wedding dress saga resurfaced too – Brooklyn accused his mother of scrapping plans to create Nicola’s gown at “the 11th hour”. On top of that, he claimed both parents offered a “bribe” to get him to sign away his naming rights before marriage.
Global headlines erupted around one of entertainment’s biggest families. Questions about the Peltz-Beckham wedding multiplied, with supporters and critics emerging for each side alongside endless speculation, reports Closer.
Beckhams maintain united front amid storm
Despite the media maelstrom, Victoria, 51, and David, 50, haven’t withdrawn from the limelight. A Spice Girls gathering for Emma Bunton’s 50th happened within days of Brooklyn’s post dropping.
Their next stop was Paris, where Victoria received Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters recognition from France’s Ministry of Culture during Fashion Week. Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, attended the private ceremony, with the two older boys bringing their girlfriends Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel.

The Sussexes’ 2021 Oprah special ran 85 minutes and exposed their royal family tensions – including allegations about concerns over their son’s appearance, claims Meghan couldn’t get mental health help, and discussions about their relationship with British tabloids.
If Brooklyn follows Meghan’s guidance, he could join the list of Oprah’s headline-making guests, sources indicate.
One insider said: “Meghan’s spoken very warmly about Oprah and told Brooklyn that she is not only incredibly trustworthy but she’s extremely nurturing. Oprah will ensure that she does everything in her power to turn the tide and win the public round for him after all this hate and criticism.”
A casual dinner could break the ice before any formal interview, Meghan has proposed: “Meghan even floated the idea of a private dinner to break the ice. Something low-key, away from cameras, so Brooklyn can feel supported and get to know Oprah before making any big decisions. Meghan’s been acting like a mentor. She is guiding him through what the next step could look like, without pushing him.”
Brooklyn weighing his options carefully
Life seemingly goes on for Brooklyn, who posted a video montage filled with clips of himself and Nicola, 31, while professing his love for his wife. His comment sections are packed with family-related remarks, but the aspiring chef isn’t budging – and he’s apparently thinking carefully about his next step, including whether Oprah plays a role.
A source added: “Understandably, Brooklyn’s feeling a lot of mixed emotions right now and he’s trying to process the fallout. While he wants to have his say properly, he’s told Meghan he needs time to digest it all and discuss next steps with Nicola without rushing into anything. He said he’d be willing to meet Oprah to at least talk about it and see where the land lies, once everything has calmed down a bit.”
