Britney Spears Says She’s “Lucky” to Be Alive Amid Family Estrangement | E! News

Britney Spears said she’s “lucky to even be alive” amid her estrangement from her family. In a Feb. 4 Instagram post, the pop icon shared a deeply personal message reflecting on loneliness and forgiveness. In the caption, Britney wrote “We can forgive as people but u don’t ever forget. I’m incredibly lucky to even be alive with how my family treated me once in my life and now I’m scared of them. It’s weird how God works in mysterious ways. Because to be totally honest with you, no matter what he says, they will never take responsibility for what they did.” Britney’s message arrives more than four years after the end of her 13-year conservatorship, which officially concluded in November 2021. Her father, Jamie Spears, served as a co-conservator and at the time his lawyer said in a statement that he is “not responding to all thefalse, speculative, and unsubstantiated attacks on him by certain members of the public, media, or more recently, Britney’s own attorney.” Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1428238/britney-spears-family-mistreatment-allegations-lucky-to-be-alive

  1. ❤ 👑 she is so right. Its hard to trust the people that did wrong. And a lot of times you have to forgive them for your own peace, but I could never forget. That's foolishness to hand the same people a fresh 🔪 … nah trust for me would be completely broken. I'd only feel safe if they didn't have any access to my bubble at all. So I can definitely relate and it can be lonely, but also safe and healing at the same time. A good time for life reflecting and goals and picking up hobbies like painting, origami, writing poetry or whatever. She is a beautiful inspiration ❤
