‘Heated Rivalry’ star Dylan Walsh flabbergasted by show’s popularity, ‘Did not see it coming’
Dylan Walsh, who plays Shane Hollander’s dad in “Heated Rivalry,” confesses he’s blown away by the massive success of the Crave/HBO Max series.
Walsh, who has been acting for close to forty years, shares that there have been many times when “I’ll do something, I think, okay, this is going to move the dial,” and nothing happens.
He thought “Heated Rivalry” would be one of those projects, but admits he was dead wrong and “did not see it coming.”

I love actors putting aside their egos and vanity and just doing little things that make a show, a show. Kudos to him for following Jacob's direction to "don't do much in this, just be decent and kind" and that had such an impact in the scenes he appears in.
You are wonderful as Shane’s dad. Just a wonderful presence holding space, reassuring and warm.

I love Dylan's character in this show. A little spoiler ahead……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….I can gloat a little when Shane's father drove away and everyone groaned. I knew that he left for all the RIGHT reasons. He was the nicest person on the show. And he was played perfectly.
