There are no big little lies here.

Laura Dern revealed that throughout her career in Hollywood she has been turned down for roles due to her height.

“I was 5’11” at 12 years old and acting already, so I was losing parts constantly!” she told The Independent last month.

Dern, 58, shared that she has been rejected for parts around “150 times.”

Now, the actress is working opposite Will Arnett in the new film “Is This Thing On?”

The actor, 55, being 6’2″ fit well with Dern’s 5’11”.

“It means that when Will and I are sitting side by side, we’re the same height,” she continued. “And it’s crazy to be in a scene with a male actor, and we’re actually looking straight into each other’s eyes, you know?”

Dern has been in the industry since childhood, being the daughter of actress Diane Ladd and actor Bruce Dern. Ladd died in November 2025.

Meanwhile, the roles Dern has landed have proven to be well-received.

The “Blue Velvet” star won an Oscar in 2020 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for “Marriage Story.”

That same year, Dern took home the Golden Globe, Critics Choice Award and a BAFTA, as well.

In 2017, Dern won her first Emmy for the HBO drama, “Big Little Lies,” and one year later nabbed a Critics Choice Award for her part as Renata Klein.

When it came to the Golden Globes, however, Dern is no stranger to leaving the coveted ceremony with gold hardware.

She has won five Golden Globes, dating back to 1993.

These days, Dern stars in the hit Apple TV+ series “Palm Royale.”

The dramedy also features Carol Burnett, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Bibb, Kaia Gerber, Ricky Martin, Allison Janney, Julia Duffy and Josh Lucas.

“Palm Royale” wrapped its second season in January, with Burnett, 92, addressing the future of the series while speaking with The Post at the time.

“It seems like a lot of the stories were wrapped up in this final season,” she explained. “They’d have to, I think, create new characters, because a lot of the people who are in it are doing other things now.”

The series has been nominated for more than 10 Emmy Awards, with Wiig, 52, scoring a nom for a 2026 Actor Award.

As for if Norma Dellacorte should return if there is a Season 3 of the show, Burnett noted: “It would depend, because I have other projects that I’m interested in behind the scenes. So it kind of depends.”

“But I do love Abe Sylvia, who created it,” she added. “He’s a delight to work with.”

Dern took a moment to gush over Burnett while talking to The Hollywood Reporter in January.

“As a producer of ‘Palm Royale,’ nothing can compare to the blessing of Carol Burnett in my life, my family and my friends,” the actress said about her co-star. “She’s my hero and she’s heard it all too much. I grew up not only wanting to be an actor because my parents are actors, but the specificity of watching the mastery of how — even in radical farcical comedy — Carol always came from truth.”

“She created these truthful characters and could do anything that would make us laugh, but we believed the character. She inspired me beyond measure,” added Dern.
