Blac Chyna says her kids just aren’t all that interested in social media.
The model and entrepreneur, 37, caught up with PEOPLE exclusively at the Starry Starry Night Gala, benefitting breast cancer awareness, in Palm Desert, Calif., on Jan. 31. During the conversation, she revealed that her kids, son King Cairo, 13, and daughter Dream, 9, don’t spend their time scrolling feeds.
“King and Dream, they don’t care about Instagram or TikTok or any of these type of things at all. They don’t care,” Blac Chyna said.
She went on to say that she tries to maintain a sense of normalcy for both kids to ensure they don’t grow up too fast.
“They’re just being kids, and I’m letting them be kids. I’m not putting them in certain things to disturb their inner childhood,” she explained. “I’m keeping them sheltered, but not too sheltered, but just enough. You know?”

Blac Chyna, who was born Angela Renée White, shares King with rapper Tyga, 36, and Dream with Rob Kardashian, 38.
While she is currently single, she has previously opened up about the importance of co-parenting with both former partners, noting that she believes successful co-parenting comes down to “communication” and “boundaries.”
“I think the main thing is communication. And also, learning your boundaries,” she said while speaking to Access Hollywood in March. “And, if you have your own thing going on, you won’t be so much in the other person’s business.”

“Sometimes people lose themselves and they’re so caught up in the other parent’s business to where they can’t even focus on themselves,” she added. “But ultimately, focus on the kid, show respect, have boundaries and communication, and you should have a healthy co-parenting life.”

While speaking to PEOPLE at the recent gala, Blac Chyna said she’s currently taking a break from dating to focus on herself.
“I’m taking a break from the love circuit. I’m giving all the love to myself,” she said, adding that she’s going to the gym every day and focusing on nutrition.
“I’m like, if [love is] going to find me, it’s going to find me, but I need to heal myself. Because once I’m fully healed, when I do meet somebody, the man of my dreams, I’ll be fully healed,” she explained.
As to what she’s looking forward to in the new year?
“I want to do outdoor camping, more outdoor wild stuff, like more adventures,” she shared. “I’m just taking it day by day. And it’s a new year, so things change every day.”
