First, New Jersey rockstar Jon Bon Jovi faced criticism for repping the Patriots before Sunday night’s Super Bowl 60 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Now, famous actor Adam Sandler, a New York City native and longtime Jets fan, is getting called out for sporting a hat with a Patriots logo before the game.

Sandler is wearing a Super Bowl 60 that has both the Seahawks and Patriots logos, so it’s not like he’s wearing a Patriots-specific hat — he’s there as a neutral fan. But that’s not stopping Jets fans from getting mad.

“Adam Sandler wearing a patriots hat? Wtf was that” an X user posted.

“Adam Sandler jumped ship to the Pats f*** him,” another Jets fan posted.

“Uuuh since when has Adam Sandler been a Patriots fan. Am I missing something?” a Jets fan asked.

Sandler talked about his Jets’ fandom last year on the Manningcast with Peyton and Eli Manning.

“Well (in) 1969, I was as happy as could be. I was a three-year-old boy. I was thinking this could be something that goes on year after year,” Sandler said about the Jets winning a Super Bowl that year. “I was promised that from my dad: stick with the Jets, he said. And now look at us: my heart hurts, fellas.”

The Jets have finished with a 5-12 and 3-14 record in consecutive seasons. Sanders is probably rooting against the Patriots tonight, not cheering for them.
