Bad Bunny’s historic Super Bowl Halftime Show led some viewers to believe that the musician brought out Liam Ramos, the 5-year-old boy who was detained by ICE last month.
The Puerto Rican star headlined Super Bowl LX’s Apple Music Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Delivering hits such as ”Tití Me Preguntó,” “Yo Perreo Sola,” “Safaera,” and “Monaco,” Bad Bunny became the first artist to deliver an entirely Spanish-language performance in the event’s history. The recent Grammy winner also celebrated Latino culture with a Puerto Rican-inspired set.

In addition, the spectacle featured celebrity guest appearances by Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Karol G and more, as well as surprise performances by Lady Gaga (performing a salsa version of “Die with a Smile”) and Ricky Martin (“Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii”).
Bad Bunny’s performance ended in a message of love over hate, with a message displayed on the video board reading, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.” He also held up a football that said, “Together, we are America.”

At one point during the show, Bad Bunny handed what appeared to be a replica Grammy Award to a young boy.
Many X users connected the moment to Ramos, who was detained by ICE agents with his father, Adrian Conejo Arias, on Jan. 20 after returning home from preschool in Minneapolis. The father and son were released from a detention center in Texas on Feb. 1.
“Many of you may have missed this, but the little boy who Bad Bunny handed his Grammy to at the Super Bowl was LiamRamos!,” one X user wrote.
“I thought this moment was so touching and meaningful, but if it’s Liam…that times a million,” another X user wrote.

However, The New York Times reported early that the boy in Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show was an actor named Lincoln Fox Ramadan.
The actor even posted a video of the moment to his official Instagram account with the caption, “I’ll remember this day forever! @badbunnypr — it was my truest honor.“
Bad Bunny has long been outspoken about Donald Trump and his administration’s immigration policies. Last week, the musician declared “ICE out” on the Grammys stage when accepting his award for Best Música Urbana Album, one of three trophies Bad Bunny took home that night.
“We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans,” he said during his acceptance speech.
“Hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love,” Bad Bunny continued. “So please, we need to be different if we fight, we have to do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people. We love our family, and that’s the way to do it. With love. Don’t forget that please.”

After Bad Bunny’s performance on Sunday, Trump called it “One of the worst, EVER!” on Truth Social.
“Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World,” Trump wrote.
“This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!,” he continued. “There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD — And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The NFL’s decision to enlist Bad Bunny as the event’s headliner has received much backlash, with someone going as far as creating a petition to replace the Puerto Rican star with country singer George Strait as the headliner.
Controversial rocker Kid Rock even went as far to organize “The All American Halftime Show” in spite of the event.
KATU reported roughly 5 million viewers watched the show, which was sponsored by Turning Point USA, featured performances from Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. Meanwhile, early reports suggest 135-142 million viewers tuned in for Bad Bunny’s performance.
