Lindsey Vonn Reveals Real Reason Behind Olympics Crash | E! News

Lindsey Vonn returned to social media one day after her crash at the 2026 Olympics, sharing that she sustained a complex tibia fracture that will require multiple surgeries. The skier, who suffered an ACL tear one week before the Milano Cortina Winter Games, also wrote on Instagram Feb. 9 that her past injury “had nothing to do” with her crash. Regardless, she said she is happy to have competed, adding, “I hope if you take away anything from my journey it’s that you all have the courage to dare greatly. Life is too short not to take chances on yourself. Because the only failure in life is not trying.” Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1428372/olympics-2026-lindsey-vonn-speak-out-after-crash-injury

  1. I'm 48 and tried snowfeet for the first time last week. Busted my arm on the first run but did a few more runs before I was not able to stand the pain anymore. Like she said, life is too short

  2. She's full of hubris and that was her downfall literally. She showed how selfish she was by not letting another skier take her spot. It was not courageous what she did it was pure stupidity and now she has a broken leg to show for it. As a veteran skier she should've known better than to ski injured.

  3. Celebrating a super rad lady,
life is meant to be lived,
may her skis shread corn snow in Spring.
Sending healing stem cells through the digital waves. May the pow be with her. Ski it easy!

  4. No matter how and why, We ❤❤🙏🙏✅✅✅✅✅✅ still you are loved and respected. People doesn't know is so young and promising, I promise – you will have another going. I am, myself, a come back kid, I wish your all the best, tibia-fibula, you do not deserve- as an orthopedician surgeon, I love Tibia and Fibula, I must be honest = I like Scapulae, shoulder blade to use it as a Tennis Racket, I hope Evonne Goolagong Cawley. Arthur Ash . However, you showed us some unvaluable lesson. Thank you!

  5. What's really weird, creepy, odd and/or ironic, is that the number on her shirt was 13, and she had her accident 13 seconds into her race… and as we all know, 13 is not a very lucky number. That's trippy! But thankfully, she will be ok and recover.

  6. Her injury could have been much worse. She had better thank Jesus in her prayers. YOU cannot test God. She could have retired with an illustrious career. She has nothing to prove to herself or anyone else. She was never meant to come back from retirement. This could have been a VERY expensive lesson.

  7. no one cares she took away someone who deserved to go dreams she is a disgrace to the US the Olympics should have protected her and the person whos spot she took I hope she never walks normal again its all about money

  8. Luv u Lindsey!! ❤ Keep going strong for all the young & women our age (altho im older than you, & just cause we're older doesn't mean we're done or dead lol).

  9. Does she think we are stupid? Of course, the torn ACL was a factor in her crash! If she hadn't raced, she would be far ahead in her recovery, and she might have avoided imminent retirement.

  10. Not sure why so many comments are negative. Per the reports and information I read she earned the spot to be on the team. In her two practice runs, she was behind the two best times by .03 seconds. I have skied double black diamonds in CO on a torn meniscus at 50+ years old. I do not find the idea a very experienced skier with many accolades in combination with today's modern medicine a 41 year old women could ski competively to be impossible.

  11. She's gonna back in 2030 w/a new titanium leg. If she breaks her arm, she'll get it replaced w/a titanium arm for 2034. A skull fracture sustained during any of her practice sessions may require a replacement head. W/the new AI, titanium legs, arms, torso, she'll be unstoppable in 2038. Go Lindsay :)!
