Ed Helms (The Office, The Hangover trilogy) and Nat Wolff (Paper Towns, Play Dirty) have joined the lead cast of She Gets It From Me, which is set to go into production this month.

The pair will join the previously announced Rachel Zegler and Marisa Tomei in the pic, which Julia von Heinz is directing. Production is due to begin in New Jersey on February 23.

Written by Jay Reiss, She Gets It From Me is produced by 3311 Productions, Anna Werner for Seven Elephants, Susan Leber and Jack Chinery. Reiss is also a producer. Embankment Films has been pre-selling the film and will be shopping at the EFM, with CAA representing North America.

Per the synopsis, the pic follows Nicky Jannis (Zegler), who does not want to get married without meeting her birth mother. Meanwhile, Charlotte Wolfe (Tomei) wonders what ever happened to that baby girl she gave up all those years ago. When mother and daughter reunite, “they and their loved ones (Helms and Wolff) are dragged into a funny and highly emotional journey that tests the definition of the word ‘family.’”

“We’ve all seen adoption movies that focus on the search for the long-lost parent, but what happens after that emotional reunion,” said von Heinz. “That’s a whole new territory we explore in this film, full of comedy but also deeply meaningful questions about the nature of motherhood.”

Von Heinz is repped by CAA, Zegler is repped by WME, Tomei by The Gersh Agency, Untitled Entertainment and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole, Wolff is repped by WME and Untitled Entertainment and Helms by UTA.
