James Van Der Beek’s wife, Kimberly, shares a moving cover of the Dawson’s Creek’ theme as she mourns the loss of her husband. The acoustic version of Paula Cole’s ‘I Don’t Want to Wait’ is performed by Alana Springsteen. James died Wednesday after a years-long battle with colorectal cancer. He was 48.

Rest in Peace, James Van Der Beek. My sympathy goes out to his widow and six children, and I'll always remember him as Dawson Leery and Jonathan "Mox" Moxton.
