It’s been another few days of grim reading, regarding Prince Andrew, but Prince William has taken the front foot and showed he means business, this week.
The Prince of Wales has been in Saudi Arabia and much has been made of his cool Night Manager look, as he strode through UNESCO World Heritage Site, AlUla Old Town. He sported a pair of sunnies from British brand Finlay, with a single-breasted jacket and shirt – similar shades and look to Tom Hiddleston in the hit TV show.

And while the heir to the throne might think he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place (see what we did there, lol) as more allegations emerge about his uncle, he showed his character by tackling it head on. Before departing for the official visit, a spokesperson from Kensington Palace stated, “I can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”

Wills met with female footballers in Riyadh (prior to 2018, women weren’t even allowed to watch matches in stadiums), where he scored a proficient goal and later spoke about womens’ rights to local residents. In Riyadh, a reporter twice asked him, “To what extent do you think the Royal Family have done enough around the Andrew-Epstein issue?”, but William either wasn’t listening, or he wasn’t commenting.
With much riding on his diplomatic visit, William toured the ancient rock formation Dancing Rocks, then was asked to plant a tree. Refusing gloves, he quipped, “I like to get my hands dirty.”
That he does. He’s been clear he wants to be known as “the Changemaker King” and do things differently when he takes the throne and he’s already demonstrating how he’s going to be royal “with a small r” as he put it, open shirt and all. Watch this space – we predict the next 12 months are going to be full of action.

Meanwhile, Catherine did not travel, but remained in the UK, where she marked Children’s Mental Health Week with a surprise visit to Castle Hill Academy in Croydon on Thursday, as the patron of charity Place2Be. The theme of this year’s Mental Health Week is belonging and she took an art class with the kids. “It can be easy to overlook the importance of the things that matter most; love, care and time spent together. Belonging and connection is so important, and is a fundamental part of early childhood development,” she wrote on Instagram. “As Patron of Place2Be, I am incredibly proud of the work they do to support families and communities to nurture children and young people.”
Interestingly, the Princess of Wales went for a working wardrobe not dissimilar to her husband’s, sporting a brown Petar Petrov wool single-breasted blazer, blue open-neck shirt and fitted pants. Wonder if they’ve been bingeing The Night Manager together?

Camilla has spent decades campaigning for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and this week rape survivor Gisèle Pelicot revealed the Queen had sent her a letter.
The Queen, who is Patron of SafeLives, a charity dedicated to ending domestic violence, wrote to Gisèle: “I very much wanted to write to express my heartfelt admiration for the courage, grace and dignity with which you have faced the horrific crimes committed against you.”
Gisèle told BBC Newsnight, a UK late-night current affairs show: “It was an honour for me to receive this letter, I wasn’t expecting it at all. I was overwhelmed that the Queen could send me this letter. Although my words touched the whole world, I wasn’t expecting a letter from the Court of England. I felt moved and very honoured that she had become aware of what had happened to me. I am grateful to her.”
In 2024, Gisèle’s court case made global headlines, when Dominique Pelicot, her former husband, was jailed for 20 years after drugging and raping her, and allowing other men to rape her while she was unconscious.

The King also repeated his support for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein as more allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor came to light. The former prince turns 66 this Thursday, however Thames Valley Police are now examining claims he shared confidential information with Epstein when working as a trade envoy.
A palace spokesman said: “The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct. While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police we stand ready to support them as you would expect. As was previously stated, Their Majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse.”

We’ve been gripped by the sheer brilliance of the competitors at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games – and looks like the sportsmad Princess Royal has been enthralled too. As President of Team GB (and a former Olympian herself at Montreal 1976), Anne was spotted watching events including Curling and Snowboarding, and even presented medals for the Women’s Snowboard Big Air Final. Personally, she wins style gold from us, with those excellent wrap-around Adidas sunglasses.

We hope you had an enjoyable Valentine’s Day whatever you were doing. Ours was totally made thanks to Catherine and William sharing this glorious photograph (taken by Josh Shinner), with the message, “Happy Valentine’s Day” and a pink heart emoji. Aw bless, our Prince and Princess of PDAs reunited after his trip to Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, in Montecito, Meghan posted this pic of her sweethearts.
