A man and woman were taken to hospital after a serious collision in Co Down this week.
Police are appealing for information following the two-vehicle crash on the Castlewellan Road, Clough on Wednesday, February 11. It was reported to police around 9:30pm that a white Ford Transit van and a black Lexus car had collided, resulting in two people “being seriously injured”.
In a PSNI statement a spokesperson said on police attendance, “the driver and passenger of the Lexus had made off from the scene”.
“A man and woman were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not being described as life-threatening,” the statement continued.
“Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have relevant information, including dash-cam or other footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1667 11/02/26.
