Katie Price’s ex-husband, Alex Reid, has compared being in a relationship with her to being on drugs, saying: “It’s like I was on a trip, but I wasn’t taking any drugs.” The 47-year-old glamour model and the 50-year-old cage fighter were married from 2010 until 2011 – and their romance began soon after the collapse of Katie’s first ever marriage.
She was first married to pop singer Peter Andre, 52, from 2005 until 2009 – before swiftly moving on to date and then marry Alex. The romance was highly publicised and drew intense attention as it began soon after Katie’s marriage to Peter ended.
And in a case of history seemingly repeating, Katie ditched toy-boy lover JJ Slater, 33, at the beginning of January, only to marry Dubai based businessman Lee Andrews, 43, days later. The newlyweds shocked fans when they shared photos from a ceremony having seemingly only just met.

Reflecting on his marriage to Katie – who was also married to dancer Kieran Hayler from 2013 until 2021 – Alex has confessed he was caught up by the media attention about their romance. And he has warned that Lee could be in a similar situation himself, after becoming a media focal point following the sudden nuptials last month.
Asked what it was like to be in a relationship with Katie so soon after her break up, Alex reflects: “I was really unaware [of her relationship with Peter Andre].
“I was intoxicated with the celebrity and the whole situation. And I’ve said countless times, it’s like I was not on this planet. It’s like I was on a trip, but I wasn’t taking any drugs. Reality went out the window.”

Speculating on the relationship between Katie and Lee, Alex suspects the star’s fourth husband could be experiencing a similar effect. He said: “I imagine Lee Andrews is intoxicated [by the relationship]. The difference is he’s a little bit older than I was. Financially, I think he’s more successful. Well, it depends. We don’t know what the truth is.”
Alex added: “There’s so many lies and things said about him. But if you believe his business acumen, then he’s very successful.” Katie and Lee’s marriage was announced just days after she split from Married At First Sight star JJ Slater.
The mum-of-five and the 33-year-old reality star had been in a relationship since 2024 – with the romance collapsing weeks after Katie hinted she had no true feelings for the TV star. In a post-split interview, however, JJ opened up about his heartbreak and revealed he was blindsided by Katie’s sudden change in feelings for him.
He told The Sun: “In my head I’m 33. I wouldn’t be in a relationship at this age with someone if I didn’t see the end goal being married and kids. So that was definitely something in my head that I wanted. But I guess it was what happens in a relationship in life: finding the right time to talk about things when there’s always so much going on.”
Meanwhile, Katie defended her husband and their marriage over the weekend. Taking to social media, the glamour model issued a defiant statement about the way he makes her feel – which some fans could regard as a finely veiled swipe at all of her past romances.
In a written caption on Instagram Stories, the glamour model typed: “@wesleeandrews has given me more love more security more respect and proven that everything that’s been said about him has been absolute BS by bitter people and snakes in all areas.”
She added a trio of emojis on the post – which included footage of her holding a dog – with images of a dog’s face, a house, and a pregnant woman all added to the post.
