The couple announced their happy baby news on Valentine’s Day, months after tying the knot

Jack P Shepherd’s Coronation Street co-stars have flooded him and his wife with messages after they announced they are expecting their first child together.
The actor, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, and his wife, Hanni, revealed the happy news in a sweet Instagram video on Valentine’s Day (February 14), months after tying the knot in a stunning Manchester wedding.
Hanni posted a video of them walking in the grounds of a country house before Jack cradled and kissed her bump. She captioned the clip: “We’ve been keeping a secret…June 2026. Thank you so much to the dream team who made this so special for us.”
The baby is due 11 months after their July 2025 wedding, which took place at Manchester Cathedral. Jack already has kids Nyla Rae and Ruben with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey and son Greyson with his former partner Sammy Milewski.
Quick to respond to the big news was Jack’s Corrie co-stars. Jack’s on-screen wife Julia Goulding said: “Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations!! So happy for you both.” Alan Halsall replied: “Congratulations!!! So happy for the pair you.” Andy Whyment echoed: “Congratulations to you both fantastic news.” Jane Danson typed: “Congratulations. Great news.”

Samia Longchambon posted: “Congratulations guys!!! So happy for you both.” Vicky Myers shared: “What wonderful news! Congratulations.” Georgia Taylor wrote: “So happy for you both.” Catherine Tyldesley gushed: “Congratulations beautiful people.” Sam Aston penned: “Awww what wonderful news. Congratulations guys.” Sally Carman-Duttine added: “How very lovely. Congratulations!”
Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick also shared: “Ahhh this is beautiful news! Congratulations to you both,” while Isabel Hodgins, who recently gave birth to her first child, replied: “Amazing news. Congratulations to you both.” And Chris Bisson added: “Congratulations mate. Great news.”
Hanni has since returned to social media and has posted a number of photos from her and Jack’s stunning pregnancy reveal at Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire. She captioned the post: “the stills from a very special shoot. Thank you so much for all the love. Our hearts our full.”
