Robert Duvall Dead at 95

Robert Duvall has died. The Academy Award-winning actor’s career spanned eight decades, and he was best known for his work in the films, ‘The Godfather,’ ‘Apocalypse Now’ and ‘To Kill a Mockingbird.’ He was 95.

  1. The quality of Duvall’s body of work is truly outstanding. He appears in a good few movies that would probably make it into (or near) my own personal top 100: To Kill a Mockingbird (1962); Bullitt (1968); The Godfather (1972); The Conversation (1974); The Godfather Part II (1974); Network (1976); Apocalypse Now (1979); Falling Down (1993); Open Range (2003); The Road (2009). Aside from these gems he appeared in dozens more roles which, while not perhaps films of the quality above, were certainly worth watching, if only for Duvall alone! Ty and RIP, Bob.
