King Charles SPEAKS OUT On Former Prince Andrew’s Arrest
King Charles is breaking his silence after his brother, former Prince Andrew, was arrested Feb. 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest occurred on his 66th birthday and follows revelations over the former prince’s ties to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In a statement released by Buckingham Palace, Charles expressed his “deepest concern,” adding that authorities have their “full and wholehearted support and cooperation.” “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all,” the monarch added. The family of the late Virgina Roberts Giuffre, who had previously alleged she was trafficked to Andrew by Epstein, also issued a statement. “At last. Today, our broken hearts have been lifted at the news that no one is above the law, not even royalty,” their statement read in part. Andrew has denied having had sex with Giuffre as well as any wrongdoing in relation to his affiliation with Epstein. However, the former prince, who stepped back from active royal duties in 2019, did reach a legal settlement with Giuffre in 2022 after she filed a lawsuit in 2021 claiming he had sexually abused her when she was 17.
