“Bridgerton” breakout Yerin Ha has been named as the ambassador for the 2026 Actor Awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA.
The Korean-Australian star was selected by the Actor Awards for exemplifying what it means to be an actor, serving as a positive role model for future performers and using her platform to advocate for humanitarian and public service endeavors.
One of the most exciting new international talents of her generation, Ha stars as Sophie Baek in Season 4 of the hit regency-era series, which premiered earlier this year. She’s also made appearances in Netflix’s “The Survivors,” HBO’s “Dune: Prophecy” and Paramount+’s “Halo.” On stage, she performed in Jean Genet’s “The Maids” at London’s Donmar Warehouse and “Lord of the Flies” at the Sydney Theatre Company.
“Being named The Actor Awards ambassador is such an honor because this ceremony is about actors celebrating actors,” Ha said in a statement on Thursday. “There is something uniquely powerful about being recognized within your own community. As someone who cares so deeply about the craft and about collaboration, it means so much to represent the next generation of actors and be part of an event that uplifts storytelling.”
As an ambassador, the actor will play a key role in the Actor Awards. She will attend the Actors Rising event, participate in the pre-show, raise awareness for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and provide fans with behind-the-scenes access to the ceremony.
Previous ambassadors include Sofia Carson, Noah Centineo, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Yara Shahidi, Joey King, Alexandra Daddario, Ross Butler, Jurnee Smollett, Haley Lu Richardson, Phil Dunster, Logan Browning, Antonia Gentry and Harry Shum Jr.
Kristen Bell will host the awards, and actor and activist Harrison Ford will receive the Life Achievement Award. Silent House Productions will produce the annual ceremony for the third consecutive year.
The awards take place on March 1 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The event will be streamed live on Netflix.
