Noah Schnapp is Jewish, born to a Moroccan Jewish mother. He had his bar mitzvah in Israel. He ran into controversy a few months after the October 7 attacks when he was seen with friends handing out stickers that read “Zionism is sexy” and “Hamas is ISIS.” On a TikTok video he posted in January 2024, he said his views had been misconstrued, and he only wanted “peace and safety and security for all innocent people.”
Schnapp is an American actor. He made his debut in 2015 as the voice of Charlie Brown in The Peanuts Movie, then rose to fame after being cast as Will Byers in the Netflix series Stranger Things (2016-2025), which lasted for five seasons (the fourth and fifth seasons were split into two and three volumes, respectively). He has appeared music videos like Panic! at the Disco’s “LA Devotee” (2016) and Drake’s “In My Feelings” (2018).
