Prada dressed seven celebrities for the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards held in London this evening.

Red Done Right
Kate Hudson looked every inch a Best Leading Actress nominee in this red Prada gown. I was relieved that this dress didn’t come with one of those tacked-on trains. Instead, the skirt flared with far greater elegance. Is the gown perfect? No. We see those Prada pulls. But is it perfect for this moment, especially considering Kate’s red carpet inconsistencies? Yes, and that matters. Prada silver satin platforms and Chaumet diamonds completed her look.

Pleats With Presence
Kerry Washington had one of the strongest Prada gowns of the night, precisely because it wasn’t the predictable satin column we often see from the label. From the soleil-pleated skirt to the 3D floral embroidery on the bodice, this felt like a refreshing shift. However, I’m struggling with the Zoë Kravitz-inspired hair. That purposely messy cool-girl edge clashes with the romance of the gown. Chopard jewels completed her look.

Classic Carey
Honestly, I’m not even mad at Carey Mulligan’s custom navy Prada fluid-satin slip dress. The colour is beautiful, and the silhouette is typically understated. I was going to say I wished she hadn’t tucked her hair behind her ears, but if I were her, I would want to showcase those Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany earrings too.

Steady And Reliable
Even though his name is Michael B. Jordan, the Sinners star has been a steady Eddie with his remarkably consistent approach to this awards season. No major style risks, no bold hues, just consistent elegance as showcased in this Prada double-breasted tuxedo. A David Yurman brooch completed his look.

On Brand With A Different House
Considering Paul Mescal’s association with Gucci, you’re likely to be just as surprised as I was to learn that the Best Supporting Actor nominee is here in custom Prada. To be fair, not much has changed. He still leans into that undone elegance, complete with his Cartier pin. The switch in house hasn’t altered his formula, and that consistency works in his favour.

Sage, But Safe
While I love this sage-green hue on Sadie Sink, especially against her red hair, I do miss her more adventurous outings. That said, this event wasn’t necessarily the moment for experimentation. I know the Miu Miu apron hasn’t gone down well, and it seems the idea has travelled, as this custom Prada double-satin dress features an apron-style bodice. I feel like I should love this, but I’m not convinced I’ll remember it by the end of the night. Prada silver sandals and Bvlgari jewels completed her look.

Coat Season
Akinola Davies Jr., nominated for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer, wore Prada, with the white turtleneck adding a refined touch to the look. The overcoat, as always, is what elevates this from standard tailoring to something far more considered.
