For anyone wondering why the second movie wasnf nearly as good as the first one, imo it comes down to what the directors made between movies…specifically The Three Stooges movie. That movie felt like a mix of the first Dumb & Dumber and classic Three Stooges sketches. When making Dumb & Dumber To, they decided to just turn Lloyd & Harry into Larry & Curly, in that they were just moronic children who need to be told what to do all the time…problem is Dumb & Dumber To didn’t give them any Moe to turn their stupidity into comedy.
