Ioan Gruffudd’s explosive trial with his ex-wife, Alice Evans, has begun with several unsettling allegations already flying around.
The “Fantastic Four” actor claimed in a testimony that Evans threatened to “Amber Heard” his life and career, as she branded him a “child abuser, pedophile, and drug addict.”
Ioan Gruffudd, who’s asking a judge to renew a restraining order, said that his ex-wife’s anger towards him was so much that she “abandoned any idea of a settlement,” and insisted they sell their asset so she can get money to fight him.

Gruffudd detailed the harassment he has endured from his ex-wife, Alice Evans, as they kicked off what’s expected to be an explosive nine-day trial session in a Los Angeles court.
According to the Daily Mail, the 52-year-old actor was displeased with the disparaging narratives she had used to plague him after calling him a “child abuser, pedophile, and drug addict” in her social media posts.
“It was devastating for me as a father to have that kind of false narrative out there,” Gruffudd said in court.
He then went on to share instances of her alleged abuse and harassment, claiming she threatened to destroy him and his career, as well as threatened to accuse his new wife, Bianca Wallace, of a “false crime so that she would be deported.”
The “Titanic” actor also weighed in on how his former wife told him in a previous text that “she was going to dedicate her life to fighting me,” amid other troubling accusations he leveled against her.

For the court session, the actor cut a dashing figure in a dark blue suit and tie with dark shoes, while Evans wore a navy blue and white striped blouse.
Gruffudd was taken aback by some of Evans’ alleged remarks, saying he “was incredibly upset and mortified,” before adding that in other texts, she threatened to ruin his acting career, telling him, “You won’t be an actor, baby, you’ll just be begging for money.”
Referencing her accusations of being a child abuser and a drug addict, he said, “I was terrified by what that would do to my image and my career. I felt saddened and frustrated, and helpless. It threatened my relationship with my children.”
“I was very upset because I had been very generous in my support for the children and for Alice,” he added.
Gruffud recalled that in one instance, when he was dropping off their children, Evans started yelling aggressively at him.
“She said she was going to destroy me and she was going to Amber Heard me. Then she said to the girls, ‘If daddy is ever weird or creepy with you in a physical way, please let me know,'” he noted.

Gruffudd and Evans met on the set of “102 Dalmatians” in 2000, before tying the knot in 2007.
Their marriage produced two daughters and looked to be a match made in heaven; however, the actor filed for divorce in March 2021 after more than 13 years together.
According to the Daily Mail, he told the court that Evans was so bitter with him that she “abandoned any idea of a settlement” and instead insisted that they sell their family home so that “she would have the funds for litigation.”
“She told me, ‘There’s no going back now.’ I was devastated. I was scared. I was nervous. She was threatening my career and my future and how I was going to provide for my children,” he claimed, adding that he was “terrified when Evans sent him a video that contained” a threat of physical violence.
Evans allegedly did not stop at him and also directed some of the heat to his new wife, Bianca Wallace, with the actor claiming that she “revealed to me that she had a private detective on Bianca.”
Alice Evans Wants The Judge To Increase Her Ex-Husband’s Spousal And Child Support Payments

Evans has denied all of Gruffudd’s accusations and has requested that Judge Michael Convey deny his request for a new restraining order.
Over the months, she has opened up about her money problems and, at one point, resorted to begging fans for donations because she was unable to cover rent and other bills.
Evans claims she is broke and wants the court to make Gruffudd increase the $1,500 spousal and $3,000 child support payments he has been paying her monthly.

According to the news outlet, Gruffudd is looking to stop paying the spousal support completely because of his ex-wife, Evans’ alleged “persistent domestic abuse of him and her many violations” of a past restraining order.
The “King Arthur” actor claims to have already “grossly overpaid” her in spousal support to the tune of $400,000.
A few days before the trial commenced, a judge offered them one last chance to see if they could reach a settlement, but that meeting reportedly ended at an impasse.
