As Martin Short mourns the death of his daughter Katherine Elizabeth Short, he’s taking a break from his comedy tour with longtime pal Steve Martin.
The pair’s Feb. 27 stop at Milwaukee’s Miller High Life Theatre for The Best of Steve Martin & Martin Short tour has been postponed, in addition to two shows on Feb. 28 in Minneapolis.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Steve Martin & Martin Short’s show, originally scheduled for Friday, February 27th in Milwaukee, has been postponed,” reads a notice on the venue’s website. “Tickets will be honored for a future rescheduled date. We will be in contact with further news when it is available.”
The next stop that still appears to be on the schedule, takes place Friday, March 13 at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC.
After Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call on Monday in a Hollywood Hills Home, which LAPD confirmed was about a possible suicide, Katherine’s family announced her death.
“It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short,” Katherine’s family previously shared in a statement to People. “The Short family is devastated by this loss and asks for privacy at this time. Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”
Short and late wife Nancy Dolman, who died in 2010 after suffering from ovarian cancer, adopted three children, Katherine, Oliver and Henry.
