Remembering Eric Dane: His Last Words and Inside Final Days With Patrick Dempsey
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ alum Eric Dane died at the age of 53, less than a year after revealing his ALS diagnosis. In his final months, the ‘Euphoria’ star became an advocate for research about the neurodegenerative disorder, also known as Lou Gehrig’s’ disease. Following the news of his death, Eric’s Hollywood friends and collaborators paid tribute, from Patrick Dempsey sharing insight into Eric’s last days on UK radio, to a source confirming to ET that Johnny Depp offered Eric one of his homes to live in, under a ‘pay what you can’ agreement. Netflix also released a previously taped sit-down with Eric as part of the streamer’s ‘Famous Last Words’ series.

Eric Dane brought intelligence, emotion, and a complex character to Grey's Anatomy. I am saddened to hear of his passing, but glad we have his acting skill by which to remember him.

I can't cry enough or muster the words to express how both actors touched my life in some way, though it may not have been their own personal lines, but the delivery made my heart melt or hopeful that someone good is in the horizon.
