    1. Atleast he is admitting he was wrong instead of defending and just blaming it on his job. He said he wished he had more of a backbone to speak up for her. We all made mistakes we all have done something to someone we wish we could take back. But you cant rewind time all you can do is take accountability and grow from it. And thats what he was doing now

    2. Hindsight is 20/20! Meaning when we look back on situations in the past, we see things clearly that were not clear to us at the time. BUT That situation was CRYSTAL CLEAR and Should have been handled right then. I still remember the sound of that guy grunting in her ear and grinding and rub all over her. As a SA survivor It made me sick to my stomach that they let that go on.

    3. I think, in a lot of ways, this shows how insane the early 2000s were
Like, it doesn't feel so far away, but the shift around how we view this stuff is NIGHT AND DAY

    4. Jay describes perfectly a narcissistically abusive relationship w Tyra, with her in charge. There was no friendship, it was exploitation. He was scared of her. When he wanted to leave she gave him the silent treatment, and threatened him underhandedly. She discarded him and Miss J and Nigel and they still were fawning after, trying to believe the best despite tons of evidence that she is an unfeeling, cruel, selfish monster.

    5. The Me too movement and the Files have done a number on this industry. When he knows better I believe he’ll do better. And not to mention we watched the show every week and said nothing. At least I didn’t. Mr. Jay is brave to open up and say he was wrong and maybe a little scared to speak up.

    6. How hard is it to pull her aside and ask her what's going on and to tell the guys "no touching, just dancing!" or change the setup and lose the guy? Wasn't he the creative director?

    7. In that moment at about that time they made it seem like she was just a problem girl which is pretty much like what a lot of girls got stamped back in the day for speaking up for themselves. They got stamped as a whiny woman, a whiny person to not work with.

    8. The ONLY reason he's throwing Tyra under the bus is to try and save face. He saw her going down and knew his dog shit behaviour was about to be roped into this, so he's tried to get on the offensive while she's on the defensive. The distraction is working for most people.

I don't really remember Miss J, but Tyra, Mr Jay, Nigel, and at least that ventriloquist looking doll judge with too much plastic surgery (I don't remember any other judges) were total scumbags. They all treated the girls like shit. Tyra was just the worst of the lot.

    9. I love how we are throwing all the blame on Tyra but noone is talking about the rest of the people involved in this show….. he keeps saying I wish and I wish that but gurl you just didn’t because you still wanted to get your paycheck at the end of the day Periodt. Stop with this victim card behavior like ….

    10. Jay aint shit either….he put those girls through HELL the same way Tyra did. Sorry doesnt always band aid the internal scar. Glad he spoke up on his wrongs but NOPE, you were damn near 30 at that time. Should have known better babes shrugs

    11. With all due respect Jay should have done something but instead he chose to ignore it. His excuse was he had no say, you’re one of the producer of the show. You do have a say and should have done something but you didn’t. I would respected him more if he said you know what I f*** up and I take accountability. But no you blame Tyra. You weren’t solving the problem you were part of it and no matter what you say you tolerated Tyra and was her side dummy because you allowed her to take control of everything. You’re not innocent Jay. You enabled the problems and did nothing about it. It takes more than one in any situation and you just proved to us that you took part in many situations and said and did nothing. I don’t feel bad and can’t agree with you on this.

    12. Oh please. This was a guy who said he was ready to leave & was staying for just one more cycle. Instead he stayed until he was finally fired & was willingly participating in the abuse

    13. Booooo! The woman is acting unprofessional for stopping the shoot? The man is acting unprofessional by assaulting his colleague! In front of everyone! Ripping on Tyra when you were just as bad, Jay!
