The Masked Singer returned to our screens this week after taking a brief hiatus, and we’re here to recap the entire show for you!
In case you missed it, we’re officially six episodes into Season 14 of the popular FOX singing competition, with tonight marking the seventh time the mystery celebrities will take to the stage with the hopes of bringing the detectives panel—comprising Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora—to their feet.
While the show didn’t air a new episode last week, there’s still plenty of information to get caught up on! The last episode, which aired on Wednesday, Feb. 11, featured a spooky and sweet Twilight theme in celebration of Valentine’s Day, and the detective panel got to know four of the contestants a little better—namely Cat Witch, 14 Karat Carrot, Owl and Stingray.
When everything was said and done, Cat Witch and 14 Karat Carrot were kept safe by the detectives and audience in attendance, leaving Owl and Stingray to go head-to-head in a “Vampire Royale.” This involved the two masked singers belting out their own versions of “Love Is a Battlefield” by Pat Benatar. From there, the detectives made their final decisions, and the masked singer eliminated was Owl.
During Owl’s performance, Thicke guessed they might be Dennis Quaid, but also thought they might be Walton Goggins. Meanwhile, McCarthy Wahlberg believed they were Ted Danson, while Jeong guessed they were Woody Harrelson. Following their unmasking, Owl was revealed to be country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus—a name none of the detectives guessed at any point during the season. Upon his elimination, Cyrus joined David “Big Papa” Ortiz, The Chrisleys, Tiffany Haddish, Tone Loc, Taraji P. Henson, Claudia Oshry and Teddi Mellencamp as the Season 14 celebs unmasked thus far.

Tonight, Feb. 25, three of the remaining masked singers—Crane, Pugcasso and Snowcone—took to the stage to tease the detectives with their disguised voices and secret identities.
The theme for this week was a celebration of the Spice Girls, with each celeb tackling one of the beloved girl group’s iconic songs. And as an added bit of fun, the aforementioned Taraji P. Henson, who was originally eliminated in episode three, returned, joining the detective panel to share the insight she gained during her stint with the competition.
First up was Crane, but before the bird-themed masked singer took to the stage with their version of “Say You’ll Be There” by the Spice Girls, their pre-roll footage revealed they had a real-life tie to the girl group, as they were mentored by Mel B. Other clues hinted at a possible Super Bowl halftime show appearance, and they also revealed they were on the show specifically to surprise their grandmother.
Both McCarthy Wahlberg and Henson felt confident they knew who Crane was immediately, but waited for the final clue to guess. Their clue was a train, and Henson confidently guessed they were Keke Palmer, because the celeb hosted the Soul Train Awards in 2023. Jeong guessed next, believing they were Ciara because of the football-related hints. Meanwhile, Thicke thought they might be either Ashanti or Mya based solely on their voice.
In the pup-themed masked singer’s pre-roll footage, they discussed their previous feelings of loneliness, revealing that they once performed at a massive show alongside Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer. They also gave the detectives more information about their potential social media following, which was in the millions. They then took to the stage for a stripped-down version of “Too Much” by—you guessed it!—the Spice Girls.
Thicke said the performance was “the strongest vocal all season,” applauding Pugcasso. The final clue was that they’d been previously rejected as a series lead and were once told they weren’t talented in music. Jeong believed the mystery celeb might be Pat Monahan of Train based on the final clue. Henson agreed with Jeong, while McCarthy Wahlberg thought they might be Vance Joy. Ora guessed Charlie Puth, believing it was the artist based on his vocal range.
Last but not least for this episode was the frozen treat-themed masked singer, who took on perhaps the most classic Spice Girls track: “Wannabe.” The pre-roll footage spotlighted Snowcone’s home and family life, revealing that they “lost everything” after a disaster.
The detectives loved seeing Snowcone embrace joy onstage. Their final clue was a wedding cake with “New Beginnings” written on it. Henson guessed they might be Anna Faris based on clues about the California fire, while McCarthy Wahlberg felt confident that they were Heidi Montag. Thicke stayed on the millennial celeb train, thinking they might be Leighton Meester.
Once all of the votes from the detectives and audience were tallied, Pugcasso was kept safe from elimination, forcing Crane and Snowcone to compete in a “Spice Royale.” As with the previous episode, that meant the remaining masked singers had to compete in a sing-off, performing a duet of “Stop” by the Spice Girls.
Following the performance, the detectives made their final choice, selecting the Crane as the winner and ultimately eliminating Snowcone. Upon their unmasking, it was revealed that the frozen treat-themed singer was indeed Heidi Montag, confirming McCarthy Wahlberg’s initial guess. Her husband Spencer Pratt joined her onstage during the reveal, sending the episode off the air on a sweet note.
The next episode of The Masked Singer airs on FOX on Wednesday, March 4, at 8 p.m. ET, and we’ll be right back here to recap everything live for you!
