She is living a heightened life and I can imagine once you live in that kind of Leisure…well, kids seem to introduce a loss of that leisure she’s grown used to. Sure, she can get a bunch of Nannies to help, but you can’t just dump the entire responsibility onto someone else unless you want your kid to write a tell all book in 18 years how mommy never spent time with them.
Also, we live in a age where kids are becoming more inaccessible. The working class are missing milestones due to the dystopia we are in. The fact a very wealthy woman isn’t even keen says something about the reality of it.
It’s always been a lot of work, though. It’s supposed to be selfless. You don’t have kids to appease the social pressure of it or to use your kid as someone to live vicarious through or use to show off socially.
Your kid owes you nothing and you owe your kid everything. They didn’t ask to be born and it was to serve something inside of you to bring them here. That’s the agreement you are making.
