Meghan Markle surprised her followers on Valentine’s Day by sharing a rare look at her family life. The Duchess of Sussex posted a candid photo of 4-year-old Princess Lilibet, shown from the side, holding bright red balloons while sitting in Prince Harry‘s arms. Markle wrote on Instagram, “These two + Archie = my forever Valentines,” sweetly mentioning their 6-year-old son, Archie, even though he was not in the picture.

Prince Harry clashing with Meghan Markle over her ‘movie star’ behavior, says expert

Many fans of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed the family’s intimate moment on Instagram on Valentine’s Day. Others, however, questioned whether the post signaled a sharp turn from the couple’s long-stated desire for privacy.

Since stepping back as senior working royals in 2020, the Sussexes have repeatedly cited the need for a more private life as a driving force behind their departure from the royal family. Harry, in particular, has spoken candidly over the years about the pressures of growing up under relentless media scrutiny.

As per The Mirror, royal expert and author Ingrid Seward believed the move could have sparked tension behind closed doors. “I would think they have had some pretty fiery rows about the topic, because it’s not at all how Harry wanted it to be,” Seward claimed. “They said they were leaving the royal family because they wanted a more private life, and they have created anything but that for themselves.”

The royal expert argued that the couple’s public profile in California appears to contradict their earlier stance. “It appears they left the family because they wanted a public life and to earn money,” she added.

Seward went further, suggesting that Harry and Meghan view fame through very different lenses. “There must have been some pretty strong disagreements over the privacy issue,” she speculated. “Harry understands it better than Meghan, due to his own experiences as a child.”

For Markle, public visibility may supposedly feel more natural “because she appears to love the Hollywood life and the fame that goes with it.” However, Seward further noted, “Harry doesn’t and never has done, by his own admission. He’s not a movie star, he’s a private person — at least when he wants to be — and Meghan’s behaviour is very much that of a movie star.”
