Zoe Saldana spent more than a decade with her first serious partner, actor and entrepreneur Keith Britton, long before Guardians of the Galaxy or her marriage to Marco Perego. They started dating around 2000, when she was still doing small TV roles and he was modeling and building the fashion database site MyFDB. After ten years together they got engaged in 2010, but by late 2011 had quietly ended both the engagement and their 11‑year relationship. Saldana later called the breakup painful but part of learning who she was alone.
