After the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ alum’s death on Feb. 23 at the age of 71, he was determined to have died by suicide, according to records from the Los Angeles Medical Examiner viewed by E! News. Robert’s family had announced his passing, saying that the ‘Revenge of the Nerds’ actor had struggled with bipolar disorder for nearly 20 years. ‘Lizzie McGuire’ star Hilary Duff also paid tribute to her former costar, writing on Instagram, “This one hurts.
