Bridgerton newcomer Isabella Wei has quickly become a fan favourite among viewers of the hit Regency-era show on Netflix for her portrayal of the sweet and charming Posy Li, the stepsister of this season’s heroine, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).

It features Luke Thompson as the second-oldest Bridgerton brother and his love interest, Sophie, who is forced by her stepmother (Katie Leung) to work as a maid in her own home.

Isabella Wei is a dancer
Born in May 2004, Wei was raised in Hong Kong and attended Chinese International School. Wei’s love of the arts and performance was evident from her childhood, as she loved to dress up and perform before an audience, according to Grumpy Magazine – this led her to become a dancer with the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation.
In 2018, encouraged by her dance teacher, Wei competed in the Dance World Cup. “Dance had always been something that I loved, but never something that I thought of in the grand scheme of things,” she told Grumpy Magazine. “Just making it through to the finals, I was like, ‘OK, I’m not really horrible, I do have the potential to compete against these people. So, that was really transformative for me. That moment was the first time I felt like I really wanted something.”
