Unlike her mother and older sister (Michelle Mao), Posy has won fans’ hearts for her gentle nature and kindness towards Sophie.

Read on to see how the 21-year-old went from starring on Hong Kong school stages to one of the streaming giant’s biggest shows.

Isabella Wei is a dancer

Born in May 2004, Wei was raised in Hong Kong and attended Chinese International School. Wei’s love of the arts and performance was evident from her childhood, as she loved to dress up and perform before an audience, according to Grumpy Magazine – this led her to become a dancer with the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation.

In 2018, encouraged by her dance teacher, Wei competed in the Dance World Cup. “Dance had always been something that I loved, but never something that I thought of in the grand scheme of things,” she told Grumpy Magazine. “Just making it through to the finals, I was like, ‘OK, I’m not really horrible, I do have the potential to compete against these people. So, that was really transformative for me. That moment was the first time I felt like I really wanted something.”
