    1. I know he is famous for Hamilton, but have either of you seen The Snowpiercer TV series? Daveed Diggs as a lead was just awful, he had two modes, monotone and shouting, even when trying to give inspirational speeches they just fell flat.

    2. It sounds like a review of Robert Zemeckis' "Here", one of "The Life of Chuck" and another of "In The Blink Of an Eye" could be interchangeable. It is so funny, I posted this before you guys mentioned those other titles. I would add "Cloud Atlas" 🤣

    3. Every piece of music in a movie is trying to make you feel a certain way. Thomas Newman's score for Shawshank Redemption is "telling you what to feel".

    4. like "cloud atlas" and a robin williams movie called "being human" I think… but yeah, these kinds of movies go for a profundity that they don't earn and ends up being gratingly hippy high bullshit instead. CRINGEWORTHY.

    5. The trailer reminded me of Cloud Atlas, a movie that I loved, and it also made me think this movie wouldn't be good. Guess I was right. It's very hard to do movies about cosmic transcendence and empathy without succumbing to saccharine platitudes.

Rashida Jones did recently-ish do sci-fi, a devestating episode of Black Mirror. That's worth seeing.

    6. There is a movie out right now in theaters sorry Jessica Chastain it's called dreams it's toxic baby girl meets love story with illegal immigrant who is a ballet dancer phenomenon

    7. Watching the trailer with such a mawkish over serious tone…but with Kate and Rashida… I was waiting for the SNL-esque punchline to drop… (Think "the actress" or "Papyrus" skits etc) It didn't… And I thought … Huh?

    8. The trailer has the gnarly appeal of a child care product ad. If that doesn't turn viewers away? On a positive note, only 10 more movies to go and Kinnon's SNL fame will have worn off, and makers will realise what many viewers know already: not an actress suited for the format.

    9. enjoyed this film. the idea of a seed being protected by these females and carried into the future was great. i guess some people are just too full of petty one-liners like this woman who's first comment is to dis the location fro no good reason. you have a bias. admit it.

    10. The concept of 3 groups of people living in 3 different time frames that are interconnected is as Christy and Alonso indicated, an intriguing concept. I think that the creative team behind this movie chose the wrong format. This should have been a three season streaming anthology series. With each group and their time frame getting one season. You can expand the personalities. Learn to care about each group. Daveed Diggs does not have to be boring. By the end of the 3rd season, if the writing, acting and cinematography has remained at a high level then yes you will have a high concept (albeit quite long should one choose to binge-watch) film with characters that we know and care about.

    11. people simply enjoys stupid productions such as Avengers' endgames , superman but when it comes to movies that motivates us to think ..no , no they dont want to think .. they want the same old story

    12. When your job is to watch movies and write reviews, you become kinda immune to certain emotional beats. Sentimentality is hard to ace, or to disguise as something less prepared or constructed. Doesn't mean you're in the wrong or that audiences are in the right. I work in the coffee industry and it's kinda the same to a degree. I see people enjoy poorly made coffee and cringe at it, but at the end of the day, the best cup of coffee is the one you enjoy most. Same with everything, I guess.

    13. Thank you for a realistic and truthful review. I watched the trailer and I got a similar impression. I will not be watching it. Human condition 😂.
Luc Besson’s Bear was beautiful and hart braking.
John Carter was a very good movie. Such a gem buried in the pile of garbage.
