The actress, who wed film composer Danny Elfman in 2003, had largely withdrawn from acting after fracturing a vertebra that year in a car accident then welcoming a son in 2005. “I don’t think so,” she demurred when asked about returning to acting. “It’s too nice being a civilian.”

Now an insider tells Star that Bridget — whose dad was the late Peter Fonda and whose aunt is Jane Fonda — has changed her thinking about a return to Hollywood.
“She’s lost a lot of weight and really turned her health around,” says a source. “Her son is an adult, and she has time to devote to her own interests.” The insider says the only question is whether the right project will come along.
“She has incredible talent, so it’s not going to be hard for her to get cast,” notes the source, adding, “She has her confidence back. Danny is all for it, he always says how great she is. He’s her biggest cheerleader, even after all these years together.”
