Paul Mescal comes to mind for his turn in “Normal People”. I think a case could be made for Lindsay Lohan post “Parent Trap”.
I wondered about Margot Robbie post “Wolf of Wall Street” but she was known in Australia and then was on Pan Am with Christina Ricci. There’s also Sydney Sweeney who was in Handmaid‘s and Sharp Objects before Euphoria or Jacob Elordi and The Kissing Booth films before Euphoria. These feel like performers who steadily grew into their A list status maybe helped by a particular project.
Whereas the “Heated Rivalry” boys truly feel like from nowhere to everywhere. Thoughts?
