Dr. Mikhail Varshavski, who is known online as “Dr. Mike,” revealed that a famous star reacted out to him to inquire about drinking their own urine.
On “The Basement Yard” podcast, Dr. Mike told hosts Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez, “A famous celebrity, the other day, messaged me asking me if she should drink her own urine because her friend was doing it.”

He noted this was not a violation of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act – aka HIPPA – as if was not an official doctor-patient relationship. He did reveal the name of the person in question!
“First time saying this on air. Kristen Bell, I can’t believe you really considered drinking urine!” Dr. Mike shared. He revealed that a co-star tricked her into believing she was drinking urine, and that co-star ended up being Justine Lupe.
Kristen actually spoke about this publicly as well. Several months ago, she went on her husband Dax Shepard‘s podcast and recalled, “I said, ‘I have a friend who is drinking her own urine. What are the risks slash benefits of this? Have you heard anything about it?’”
She said Dr. Mike responded by saying, “Well, honestly, I think it sounds insane, but I don’t think it would hurt her.”
