Angela Luce, an iconic singer and actress, has died.

She was 87.

Luce died on Feb. 20 in Naples after battling heart failure, according to reports.

Luce was called the “Voice of Naples.” She released a whopping 19 albums in her career with the first, “Angela Luce (Fans GPX 6)” coming in 1972 and the last, “Luce per Toto (CD Polosud Records)” coming in 2009.

She also appeared in more than 80 films across her career which spanned more than six decades. Her first film “La sposa” came in 1958, and her last, “Passione” came in 2010.

She won the David di Donatello award, which is Italy’s equivalent to the Oscars, in 1995 for best-supporting actress in the film “Troubling Love.” Her other notable films included “The Widower,” “You Are Born a Gentleman,” “The Decameron,” “Malizia” and “The Second Wedding Night.”

One website called her “a symbol of Neapolitan culture and entertainment” and “a beloved and recognized artists throughout Italy.”

Luce died just days after taking to social media to offer condolences after a fire wiped out the Sannazaro Theater.

“Thinking of the destroyed Sannazaro Theater is truly painful,” she wrote on Facebook. “I am close to Ingrid and Lara and embrace them with deep affection. I hope it will be rebuilt soon and continue to carron Luisa Conte’s dream.”
