Jamie Lee Curtis knows she has a friend in her Scarpetta co-star Nicole Kidman, and she has a unique way of describing their relationship.

The legendary scream queen, 67, who rose to stardom as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter‘s iconic horror filmHalloween, has built a career in Hollywood that spans decades. With hits like A Fish Called Wanda, My Girl, True Lies, and Freaky Friday, Curtis solidified her stardom and became one of Hollywood’s most in-demand stars. More recently, she blew fans away in Everything Everywhere All at Once, as well as with a guest-starring turn on The Bear. Whatever she’s doing, she’s doing it right, because Curtis is on a roll! Her latest project, the Amazon Prime mystery series Scarpetta, teams Curtis up with Nicole Kidman. When asked on the red carpet at the show’s premiere to sum up her relationship with Kidman, Curtis provided a touching answer.

“One word?” replied Curtis. “Heart. Like, despite our obvious differences, I’m this zaftig, vulgar slut, and she’s this kind of, you know, incredibly beautiful, cool, seemingly delicate waif of a girl, the connective tissue is that we share a very similar heart. We both have two daughters who we’ve devoted our lives to, and we both have a professional belief in the privilege of this job and the power of being a boss and bringing other people along.”
