Daryl Hannah wrote an essay for the New York Times eviscerating the way she’s been portrayed in Love Story. She acknowledges the impossible position she is in: to acknowledge it is to give it a boost in the attention economy but to ignore it is to allow someone to advance terrible, untrue things about you. What Daryl is experiencing is what a lot of people who were close to John and Carolyn, really close to them, have experienced.

Their inner circle has maintained their silence and that vacuum has been filled by hangers-on who just want to be part of the story but didn’t know them at all. That has been the case since they died. Ryan Murphy is not a serious man.

You know what is very interesting about the still-living characters in Love Story? Carole Radziwill was married to JFK Jr.’s cousin and best friend, Anthony. Sadly, Anthony was dying the summer of 1999, and John and Caroline were with Carole and Anthony a lot before they unexpectedly passed. Carole spoke about it very briefly during her time on Real Housewives of New York (she clarified, very derisively, that no one called him John John) but very rarely makes public comments. Carole isn’t a character in Love Story, even though Anthony’s character is featured. It’s like she didn’t exist. I have wondered if she got ahead of it with lawyers.

We don’t want Jason Statham to act, we want him to save us from prehistoric sharks with his fists.

Jason Statham never has to prepare for a movie role.. mf don’t even need to look at the script. Just let him know if he saving a woman or a kid… he know what to do

Lily Allen wore a revenge dress or, more accurately, a receipts dress. It is printed with receipts of gifts to other women, from her ex-husband. The timeline is split between “this is iconic” and “this is cringe” and a splash of “hasn’t Lily Allen admitted to cheating on a spouse, too”? I’m not here to debate the artistic or moral merit but I do have something controversial to say about cheating (which is like punishable by death on TikTok and Reddit): it is important in art. Every style of music has a cheating song, many great TV shows have cheating storylines, a lot of iconic gossip stories feature cheating. We, as a society, spent years obsessing over Brad, Angelina and Jennifer Aniston. No one tuned into Mad Men hoping Don would be faithful to Betty. There’s a reason we can belt “I dug my key into the side, of his pretty little souped up four-wheel drive” every time it comes on the radio.

Breaking my silence: I hate these big cookies. Zoey Deschanel is not an influencer, her review is honest. Down with white chocolate. (Lainey: I’m the basic bitch who loves white chocolate, LOL)
