Asked what attracted her to the series, Eve said: “If I get scared about something, I know it’s absolutely for me and that it’s the next thing I should do. If I read something or get involved in something and feel comfortable, then I’ve already done it, so it’s time to move on. There are issues in this particular piece that I felt I wanted to give voice to. The tone and vision Richard Laxton created was intoxicating. Everything came together like a chemistry set, hopefully we’ve created a story people really invest in.”
But what else has Eve starred in? Here’s everything you need to know.

Ystradgynlais-born Eve is no stranger to the screen having appeared in many television dramas throughout the years.
Eve is probably best known for playing Ceri in BBC’s Belonging, which was her first major screen role and one she had for nine years after joining the cast in 2000. She is also known for playing Gwen Cooper in the hugely popular series Torchwood after landing a role in an episode of Doctor Who and later becoming the lead in the spin-off.
In 2017, Eve began playing the lead in crime drama Keeping Faith. Eve played Faith Howells, a small-town Welsh lawyer forced to cut short her maternity leave when her husband and business partner, Evan, goes missing.
Other notable roles include playing Claire Ripley in Broadchurch, Lauren Grey in You, Me & Them, Mrs Jenkins in Victoria, Caitlin Henderson in Cold Feet, DS Lola Franks in We Hunt Together and Alice Sinclair in Hijack.
More recently Eve has starred as DCI Jeanette Kilburn in The Crow Girl, Fran Sharp in The Guest, Jacqui Hames in The Hack and Rebecca in Coldwater.

Off-screen Eve enjoys family life with her famous actor husband Bradley Freegard and their three children.
Fellow Welsh actor Bradley hails from Pontypridd and is probably best known for playing King Canute in the Netflix hit Vikings: Valhalla. He also portrayed Mei Huws in the Welsh language S4C series, Gwaith/Cartref.
Viewers might also recognise Bradley for playing opposite his wife Eve in Keeping Faith, Bradley played her fictional missing husband Evan in the popular drama. Other notable roles include Holby City, Hinterland, Under Milk Wood and EastEnders.
Eve and Bradley tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Italy in 2013. The wedding was so exclusive that it only had one guest – their then three year old daughter Matilda.
The 2013 wedding was a long-time coming for Eve and Bradley, who first crossed paths at the National Youth Theatre during the 1990s and had been dating for 15 years before getting married.
“It was heaven on earth,” Eve told WalesOnline a month after the ceremony. “I’d put my wedding off three times because of work commitments. This time I said we’re not putting it off this time, we’re getting married this year.”
Gone continues on ITV on Sunday and Monday nights at 9pm.
