    The phrases “From the river to the sea” & “Globalise the Intifada” have been banned in Queensland after legislation was passed in the state’s parliament last week. It will be considered an offense to use the expressions in a way that makes a member of the public feel menaced, harassed or offended.


    The new laws include both written & spoken use of phrases, such as chants or placards at a protest, with penalties of up to 2 years in prison.
