Sitting facing the sea on a beach, likely near their home in Montecito, Meghan is seen cuddling four-year-old Princess Lilibet. The caption of the post read: “For the woman she will one day be… Happy International Women’s Day.”

Alongside the camera emoji, Meghan revealed that the picture was taken by “Papa Sussex”, which is in reference to the couple’s Sussex title.

According to PR expert Natalie Trice, the decision to include the nickname is a surefire way to capture royal fans’ attention.

She told the Daily Express: “The word ‘Sussex’ is a title tied to the monarchy, so using it publicly will always attract attention and scrutiny, and I am sure they know this.”

Much like other pictures that Meghan has posted of their children – including six-year-old Prince Archie – Lilibet’s face is directed away from the camera.

The caption for this post read: “These two + Archie = my forever Valentines [red-heart emoji].”

Since her return to social media in January 2025, Meghan has decided to give fans insight into her experience of motherhood, including honouring her children in sweet posts on special occasions, such as their birthdays.
