Spider-Man: Brand New Day
The teaser trailer for Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” just took a major step closer to reality with the launch today of the film’s official site.
Within the code, a link to the trailer has been found, but the clip has not gone live yet. Additionally Korea’s Media Rating Board has reportedly rated the trailer, all this being seen as confirmation that the trailer launch is imminent.
Untitled Spielberg Western Film
Filmmaker Steven Spielberg gave a brief update on a genre he hasn’t tackled before as a director – a western. Last year, he expressed a desire to direct such a film.
Speaking with Deadline at a SXSW panel to promote his “Disclosure Day” film, he confirmed he has the project in development and that it “kicks ass”. No further details were revealed.
Amazon Prime Video
From April 10th, the ad-free tier of Amazon Prime Video will be renamed Prime Video Ultra and come with upgraded viewing features, including up to 100 downloads for licensed content, up to 5 concurrent streams, along with existing benefits like ad-free streaming, 4K UHD video and Dolby Atmos audio.
The new plan will be priced at $4.99/month in the United States, no word on price chnages in markets outside that one presently. [Source: Amazon]
Blood on Snow
Cary Fukunaga’s adaptation of the Jo Nesbo-scripted “Blood on Snow” has been acquired by Sky for UK distribution sometime in 2027. Benedict Cumberbatch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Wva Green, Ben Mendelsohn, and Emma Laird co-star in the film
Set in 1970s Oslo, two rival gang leaders fight for territorial control. One of them hires a hitman to kill his wife, but the hitman comes up with another plan. The film was shot early last year. [Source: World of Reel]
