LOWELL — “Happy Days” are coming to Middlesex Community College for the spring 2026 Celebrity Forum.
The Middlesex Community College Foundation announced this week it is bringing three stars of “Happy Days,” one of the most popular television shows of the 1970s and 1980s, to the Lowell Memorial Auditorium May 6. Henry Winkler, Anson Williams and Don Most will sit down with MCC President Phil Sisson for a talk about their careers and their time on the legendary show.
“One of the top shows of the seventies and eighties, ‘Happy Days’ has been beloved for decades, holding long-standing significance in American culture,” said Sisson. “I am thrilled to sit down with Henry, Anson and Don to discuss their time working on this legendary show on the Lowell Memorial Auditorium stage this spring. Middlesex is grateful to the MCC Foundation for once again bringing a wonderful act to the city and for their unyielding support of our students.”
Sisson thanked the event’s sponsors for “their continued generosity of their time, effort and money to ensure our students have the experiences and opportunities they need to be successful.”
“I’m looking forward to a fun night of conversation, entertainment and celebration,” said Sisson.
The event will start off with a sponsor reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner and an interview between Sisson and the three guests.
In “Happy Days,” Winkler played the iconic role of Fonzie, often known as The Fonz. Most played the role of Ralph Malph, and Williams played Warren “Potsie” Weber. The show premiered in 1974 and would carry on for 11 seasons and draw millions of views each week on Tuesday nights.
The life of a teenager, and friendship, were central to the show’s story, which was set in the 1950s and 1960s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with the family of teenager Richie Cunningham (played by Ron Howard) taking center stage.
“Middlesex and the MCC Foundation are ecstatic to host Happy Days Are Here Again as part of our Celebrity Forum this year,” said MCC Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Workforce Development Judy Burke. “We are excited to hear their conversation and share in their dynamic, all while raising critical funds for our students. The Celebrity Forum is a landmark event in Lowell each year, which would not be made possible without the support of our sponsors and partnerships. Thank you to Henry Winkler, Anson Williams and Don Most for joining us, to Spectacle Live for their collaboration, and to our sponsors for helping to change the lives of our students for the better.”
MCC’s Celebrity Forum has been bringing famous faces and household names to Lowell for more than 25 years, all in an effort to raise money for more than 140 student scholarships. Recent guests include The Beach Boys and actor John Stamos, singer Dionne Warwick and actor Kal Penn. The TJX Companies Inc. is returning as this year’s presenting sponsor.
