After Amy Madigan was named the 2026 Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actress, her fellow nominee Teyana Taylor was among the first to celebrate the ‘Weapons’ star’s achievement. While onstage Amy—who was last nominated for an Oscar in 1986—shared insight into her award season journey, crediting her fellow Best Supporting Actress nominees, ‘One Battle After Another’ star Teyana, ‘Sinners’ star Wunmi Mosaku and ‘Sentimental Value’ stars Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas for the sisterhood they’ve developed over the last few months. I came here after reading about how people online have been blasting Teyana for what they considered as her "fake" exuberance for Amy Madigan winning the Oscar over her. I thought that it was a classy move. I guess that the haters thought that Teyana was supposed to throw some kind of a tantrum instead of showing respect for someone else so that could have made the headlines instead.
Taylor is smart, she’s playing the long game. Academy members remember things like this. 👌🏽
