Oscars 2026 Must-See Moments: A Shocking Tie, Michael B. Jordan Wins, RDJ’s Flub
It was a historic night at the 2026 Oscars March 15, with a shocking tie win in one category, as well as tearjerking tributes to actors who’ve died and meme-worthy bits with Hollywood’s biggest stars. Host Conan O’Brien poked fun at Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio, while Robert Downey Jr.’s Channing Tatum flub became the new ‘Adele Dazeem.’ The cast of ‘Bridesmaids’ reunited and so did many actors from late director Rob Reiner’s films, including ‘When Harry Met Sally’ stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. Diane Keaton and Catherine O’Hara were also remembered in the Oscars In Memoriam segment. Best Supporting Actor winner Sean Penn skipped the ceremony altogether, “Golden” from ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ won Best Original Song, ‘Sinners’ star Michael B. When she said, "I want all the women in the audience to stand up," most of the audience will not or can not even define wha a woman is.
all the women stand up?! that made absolutely no sense. now if she named some women trailblazer cinematographers like reed morano, agnes godard, Ari wegner, & Rachel Morrison to name a few…( I always notice the lighting & camera movements in the movies & who gets it so perfectly) that would have been a fitting tribute. the women in the audience helped her?! that was a missed moment. shed been better off then just thanking her parents & name the people who helped her learn her skills, thank the people that hired her….that's it. I only watch the highlights in the morning news. who can sit thru the inane speeches & boring host jokes. ugh.
chase infiniti (not nominated, should have been) & DiCaprio were my picks for best actor(s) along w/ best movie =one battle after another. but its usually all whose got the strongest lobbyists that choose the wins. u didn't really think its a vote for the best, did u.?!
One battle after another was absolutely trash movie. But given it is anti Trump pro violence I knew it was going to be an easy win.
