Teyana Taylor CALLS OUT Oscars Security Guard After TENSE Confrontation

Teyana Taylor’s Oscars night took a tense turn after a heated encounter. In a video circulating on social media, the Best Supporting Actress nominee can be seen scolding someone off camera, calling them out for being a “man putting his hands on a female.” “You’re very rude,” Teyana repeatedly stated as a woman nearby can be heard telling the person, “Yeah, that was uncalled for.” Teyana then vocalizes her frustration to another woman, explaining, “Because he’s putting his hands on a female. He literally shoved me.” The “One Battle After Another” star seemed to have moved on from the confrontation by the time she left the ceremony, explaining in an interview with TMZ that despite what she felt was an aggressive approach from security staff, she is perfectly fine and happy. The Academy responded to the incident in a statement on March 16 which read, “We were extremely upset to learn about the experience endured by Teyana Taylor at the end of the Oscars ceremony last night. We have worked with Teyana over the last several months during awards season, and she has been nothing short of remarkable, supportive, kind, and all about community. Though the incident was with our outside security firm SIS, the experience of every single guest is our responsibility. We have made it clear to them that this behavior is not acceptable. We want to thank Teyana for showing remarkable grace, and we are taking the appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen again.”

    1. She doesn't "tolerate disrespect" but she also doesn't know how to show it either. It's always the loudest people who demand respect that they think they're owed but they're not because they are not being respectful themselves. Maybe the security guard didn't mean to shove her??? Maybe she was not supposed to be standing there talking? Who knows, but she is not a victim. The security job was just trying to move people along.

    2. I’m so glad the Oscar’s and all the award shows are over. I’m sure it’s stressful for everyone involved. Months of getting prepared and walking red carpets. I think I saw Teyana Taylor on all the red carpets. There is the Met Gala in May.

This is a wake up call for more women not to be silent as it is taken as a sign of weakness and helping the culprits to bully and get away ….saying or doing whatever they feel entitled to ..
Woman should be more courageous and take risks by speaking up and exposing the culprits ..
      Honour thy Mother…
      Honour your wife ….
      Honour All women …
We are the most precious diamond and creation on planet Earth created by God and belong to God and no one has a right to disrespect another human being…..
      Give respect to Man ..
      Give Respect to Woman

    4. Why was she wrong to speak up for herself??? If this was Meryl Streep or Nicole Kidman people would demand this guy be arrested, fired, find out who he is and leave nasty messages on line. Why is Teyana too loud, and not behaving right??? I hate that, not giving a black woman benefit of the doubt but ready to riot for other women and automatically believing them

    5. A lot of ppl in the comments are being rude by not acknowledging the fact that she was assaulted by a man but rather her tone while defending herself. Trying to discredit her experience is insanity and her tone, upbringing, and aggression is what’s more focused on. It like let’s not talk about the elephant in the room but let’s keep the stereo type of the black angry woman going while ignoring her pain 😢 she didn’t curse , hit, or scream but her New York accent and firmness is all we’re going to focus on because deeply down inside most ppl are racist and could care less about her experience. If it was Kim kardashian saying the same thing on the carpet and having the same response it would be poor Kim. 😢

    6. Its as if she was slightly under the influence!Especially when they would pan the camera at her in the audience and when she put the director in a headlock on his way to accept the award for best picture!!

    7. I love Teyana but she's starting to do to much. She's all over the place like a child with ADHD and interjecting herself into too many situations. She's going to end up being known more for her controversial behavior than her talent.

    8. I honest I don't understand something. A man put his hands on a woman and I guarantee you was a white man. I guarantee that everybody around her is looking at her like she's wrong for acknowledging that somebody put their hands on her. What is wrong with this world today? Y'all stupid this s*** getting really bad way people thinking that they can do stuff and will not be called out on it and everybody white and black around her looking at her like she stupid when this man put his hands on her like they want her to be quiet. I'm glad she didn't be quiet. All of y'all that is in that picture that did not say nothing. Y'all need to be shame of yourself. Black and white

    9. Because this was caught on video and because of fckng social media , this had to be some sort of a thing. It wasn't a big thing, no violence no harassment, shes fine. Lets all move on
