Pamela Isley is done being a footnote in someone else’s story. Brilliant, betrayed, and fuelled by a rage that the natural world itself seems to share, she wages a one-woman war against the corporations and corrupt systems that have poisoned the earth for decades. But when her attacks start triggering ecological disasters on a global scale, the Justice League can no longer look the other way. Amanda Seyfried brings a luminous, almost mythic quality to Wonder Woman, a warrior who genuinely understands Ivy’s pain even as she stands in her way. And Jason Momoa’s Aquaman has deeply personal stakes here because what Ivy unleashes on the surface world is already bleeding into the oceans. Three forces of nature colliding, and honestly none of them are entirely wrong.
Ten hours in and I was completely lost in Pamela Isley’s comic history, pulling from her earliest appearances through her more recent reinventions to find the emotional core that would make this concept feel real and not just another supervillain origin retread. The color grading decisions alone took longer than I expected. Multiple tools running simultaneously, several sequences scrapped and rebuilt, and a lot of quiet moments at 2am wondering if the pacing was right. Pretty sure it is now.
