On March 17, 2026, Leslie Mann made an appearance at the Texas premiere of Poetic License

The 53-year-old actress was there to support her older daughter Maude Apatow’s directorial debut

During the event, Mann spoke to PEOPLE about how her youngest, Iris, is “obsessed with the ‘90s”

Leslie Mann is best known for her comedic roles in films often made in collaboration with her husband, Judd Apatow.

Off-screen, the couple shares two daughters, Maude and Iris Apatow, who have both followed creative paths of their own. While chatting with PEOPLE about the resurgence of trends from the ’90s, the same era her Hollywood career began, the mother of two shared that her youngest daughter also has a deep appreciation for the decade’s fashion and culture.

“Iris, who is 23, is obsessed with the ’90s and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and they buy all of their clothes, like secondhand clothes, that look like ’90s clothes, and I still have some stuff that I share with her,” Mann tells PEOPLE.

Mann has fully embraced her younger daughter’s love for all things ‘90s, often encouraging the interest with thoughtful finds from the era. She even recalled tracking down a nostalgic fragrance that once defined the decade’s style scene.

“I just recently bought this perfume. I don’t know if you remember, called Child from the ’90s that everyone wore,” Mann explains. “It was only available at Fred Segal on Melrose Avenue and I found it and I bought some for Iris and she was really excited.”

The gesture reflects not just a shared appreciation for vintage culture, but also a playful bond between mother and daughter. Still, for Iris, nothing compares to the real thing — her mom’s old wardrobe staples.

Mann shares that her youngest daughter often borrows clothes from her closet, gravitating toward authentic pieces she’s held onto over the years.

“Like grungy clothes, you know, like the long, the like, thermal tops, the thermal tops with the flowers that are cropped. Dickies, and, like weird shoes that I still have,” she reveals. “She loves all of my old stuff. It’s so nice that I know, I’m happy I kept some of it.”

Both of Mann’s daughters have grown up immersed in the film world shaped by their parents.

Iris, like her older sister Maude, appeared in several of her father’s projects early on, including Knocked Up and Funny People, where the sisters played on-screen siblings.

She later appeared in episodes of the Netflix series Love and joined the ensemble cast of The Bubble, a film written and directed by Apatow that also featured Mann.

Meanwhile, Maude has continued to expand her career, even stepping behind the camera for her directorial debut with Poetic License, marking a new chapter for the creatively driven family.
